Emogene D. Ansel

Emogene Doris "Jean" Ansel, 83, of Zanesville, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at her residence. She was born February 2, 1926, in Ashtabula, Ohio, a daughter of the late Pearl R. and Ressie Hill Kelly. She was a retired assembler for Essex Wire. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Jean Reed of Cleveland and Karen Glass of Zanesville; a special daughter she raised, Jennifer Miller of Zanesville; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene (Ruth) Kelly of Zanesville, Ellis Dean (Sandy) Kelly of Nashport and Edward Kelly of Zanesville; and a sister, Eva Cook of Zanesville In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Ansel, who died July 12, 1977; a grandson; three brothers, Jack, Emmett and Pete Kelly; and a sister, Evelyn White. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville with Celebrant Barbara Jean Reed officiating.
