Ernest Pitts, 86, of Zanesville, died at 2:50 A.M. on Thursday, April 04, 2013, at the Helen Purcell Home. He was born October 25, 1926 in Hot Springs, AR, a son of the late Thomas and Neda Parker Pitts. He worked as a cross-country pipe-liner and retired from Operating Engineers Local 18, Columbus. Surviving are his beloved wife, Luvonne Lawson Pitts; three sons, Ernest Edward (Carole) Pitts of Zanesville, Ted Pitts of Xenia, and Larry Pitts of Monument, CO; four grandchildren; a brother J.T. Pitts of Richmond, CA; and a sister Dorothy Pitts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Matthew Pitts; and two brothers, Fred and Earl Pitts. No calling hours or funeral services will be observed. A dignified cremation has taken place and all arrangements were entrusted to Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
