Esther M. (Bailey) Lewis

Esther M. Lewis, 90, of Zanesville, died at 8:55 A.M. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born January 18, 1932 in Cutler, Ohio a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Helen (Mayle) Bailey. She was a high school graduate of Bartlett High School and retired from Essex Wire after twenty-one years of service. She loved the color purple, gardening, shopping, and baking her Texas sheet cake, the family favorite. Esther was kind and amazing to everyone she met and loved her girl dog of thirteen years, “King”.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Antwan Martin, Jessica Lewis, Heather Lewis; great-grandchildren, Dustin and Evan Lewis; three sisters, Maxine Martin, Yvonne Adams, and Patricia Bailey; niece, Cherie Adams; and a special uncle, Louvell Mayle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Craig Lewis; a daughter, Vanessa Young; three brothers James, Nathaniel, and DeAngelo Bailey; and a sister, Ruth Honesty.

Friends and family may call from 11 A.M. till time of service at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Justin Wyatt officiating. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville.
