Evelyn F. Dawson

Evelyn Faye Dawson, 81, of Zanesville, died at 10:49 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. She was born August 29, 1927, in Burning Springs, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Paul and Alice Cain McCauley. She was a retired registered nurse for Genesis Good Samaritan hospital and Willow Haven Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and served as a volunteer at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. Surviving are three daughters, Marsha Dawson of Jonesboro, Tennessee, Sandra Dawson of Gastonia, North Carolina, and Beth Anne Dawson of Johnson City, Tennessee; two sisters, Joan (Robert) Battin of Greensboro, North Carolina and Mary (Barry) Stark of Whipple, Ohio; a brother, Edgar Wayne (Phyllis) McCauley of Newark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Dawson, who died April 9, 1988. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Brian George officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
