Evelyn Jean Gallant

Evelyn Jean Gallant, 86, of Zanesville, died at 3:15 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2008 at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born June 13, 1922, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Cora Hennessey Patterson. She was a member of the Putnam Presbyterian Church and the Margaret Blue O.C.C.L. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Davis and Gloria (Steve) Kreis, both of Zanesville; a son, Mark (Shelley) Gallant of New Concord; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Davis, Douglas (Diana) Davis, Martha (Jason) McKitrick, Jason (Christy) Kreis, Caroline Kreis, Lauren Gallant and Gregory Gallant and a great grandchild, Carson McKitrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roma L. Gallant, who died November 24, 1999 and a sister, Claire Hamilton. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Herb Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
