Evelyn Mason

Evelyn A. Mason, 97, of Zanesville died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2004 at the Muskingum Co. Home. She was born November 12, 1907 in Licking Co., a daughter of the late Louis and Mary Smart Kreager. She was a member of Gratiot United Methodist Church, she owned and operated Mason's Campground untill illness forced her retirement. She was a past member of the Rebecca Lodge at Gratiot, past member of Gratiot Garden Club, past member of Flamettes Auxillary of National Trails Fire Department and an active member of the Red Cross during World Wat II. Surviving are a daughter, Frances V. Olds of Edgewater, Florida, daughter-in-law, Marguerite Mason of Gratiot, three sisters, Helen Hoskinson of Gratiot, Mary Cole of Cambridge and Gertrude Kondrath of Bloomfield, Colorado, a brother, Howard Kreager of Zanesville, three grandchildren, Philip C. (Julie) Kincaid Sr. of Port Orange Fl., Sharon A. (Thomas) Read of Winter Park Fl. and Jerrold A. (Debra) Kincaid of Edgewater, Fla., six great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clayton N. Mason, (3/14/1999),by one son, Carroll R. Mason, by one brother, Harry Kreager. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 Monday, December 6th, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Home Activity Fund, c/o 1400 Newark Rd. Zanesville, Ohio.
