Evelyn J. (Heslop) Polland

Evelyn J. Polland, 88, of Zanesville, died at 9:22 P.M. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born July 18, 1926, in Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Everett and Laura Darr Heslop. She had worked 27 years as a coil winder for United Tech, was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, and of the VFW Auxiliary Post #1058. Surviving are her son Ronald Brock of Zanesville; a brother Robert (Ruth) Heslop of White Cottage; two special great nieces who took care of her, Cynthia (Dale) Lewis of Zanesville and Amanda (Jay) Colling of Zanesville; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and her brother-in-law Kenneth Urban of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Polland, who died April 29, 2008; her step mother Anna Heslop; and two sisters, Betty Munyan and Dorothy Urban. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Rev. Mitch Reed officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Robert at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
