Evelyn M. (Pickrell) Sheets

Evelyn M. Sheets, 88, of Zanesville, died at 5:00 A.M. Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Cedar Hill Care Center, Zanesville. She was born April 16, 1925 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Roy and Mary Soller Pickrell. She retired as a cashier at Sunrise IGA after 30 years of service and attended Trinity United Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two sons, Barry B. ( Cindy) Sheets and Terry W. (Vicki) Sheets all of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Bradley (Lauren) Sheets, Emily, Stephanie and Broc Sheets; Three sisters, Norma Near of Zanesville, Marjorie (Stanley) Ryckman of Mansfield and Betty (Thurman) Drake of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester B. Sheets, who died in 1975; six brothers, William, Richard, Edward, Ted, James, infant Fred Pickrell and two sisters, Jean Yarger and Alene Plummer. Friends and family may call from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 20, 2014 with Rev. Dennis Allison officiating. Evelyn will be laid to rest beside her husband, Lester at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
