Evelyn Sorrell

Evelyn M. Best Sorrell, 96, of Zanesville, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008 at her residence. She was born September 28, 1911 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Charles D. And Eva A. Frame Best. Evelyn retired in sales at the J. C. Penny Co. She was a member of the Coburn United Methodist Church, a member of the Eastern Star # 485 and Rosa Shrine # 8. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Mary Lou (Steve) Woytko, Eileen MacGregor, Shirley (Vernon) Armstrong, Marilyn Price, Karen (Dave) Lanning, Diane Lay, Jill (Ron) Pratt, Jay (Pam) Jackson, Eric Angle, Jan (Diane) Angle and Harold Best. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Sorrell,and by three sisters and six brothers. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m.Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Doris Flynn officiating.Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesis Hospice or to the Coburn United Methodist Church. OES # 485 will hold services at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home
