Evelyn J. Wickham

Evelyn Joan "Jo" Wickham, 59, of Zanesville, died at 2:48 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born January 17, 1950, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Pearley Benjamin Wickham and Virginia Paynter Wickham Doyle. She was a member of the Bible Methodist Church of Zanesville and enjoyed all activities at the nursing home and at her church. Surviving are a daughter, Kim (Doug) Smith of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon Smith; her step father, John "Pop" Doyle Sr., of Zanesville, who she resided with and who was her care giver most of her life; three sisters, Pauline Harris, Brenda (Henry) Yester and Kathy (Mike Harriman) Doyle, all of Zanesville; two brothers, Gary (Susan) Wickham of Nashport and John (Diane) Doyle of Zanesville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Herman Brugh of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters; two brothers; and a brother-in-law, Bill Spires. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 at the funeral home with the Rev. William Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Duncan Falls Cemetery.
