Everett W Huffman Sr.

Everett W. Huffman Sr., 74, of Zanesville, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born May 4, 1936, in Coshocton, a son of the late Gilford Huffman and Ethel P. Dickerson Huffman Wright. He was a retired repairman for Culligan Water Conditioning of Zanesville and a United States Marine Korean Conflict Veteran. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Barbara J. McPherson Huffman, of the home, whom he married March 19, 1956; three daughters, Cindy (Jake Holpp) Huffman-White of Frazeysburg, Sue (Curt Beyers) Huffman-Appleman and Jane (Dave) Boggs, both of Zanesville; two sons, Everett (Denise) Huffman Jr. of Zanesville and Mike (Jophel) Huffman of San Diego, California; a sister, Mary (Wayne) Plants of Newcomerstown, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Ryan, Harvey, Jack and Bambi Richardson, Keisha Huffman, Rodney Lang, Toni and Mandi Appleman, Cody and Ashley Boggs and Joey Huffman; and seven great grandchildren, Khalia, Timothy, Grace, Hayden, Aerian, Jonathan and Aubrey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Huffman and Jack Wright; and a sister, Myrtle Cooper. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Rev. Stephen J. Harrop officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post #1058 in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps will hold full military rites at the graveside.
