Faye Marie Rowland (Hanna) was born on April 7th, 1954 to Dorothy A. & Lloyd E. Hanna. Faye resided in Zanesville with her husband, Gary R. Rowland and it was there that she passed peacefully on March 13th, 2021. Faye is one of four children and attended Zanesville High School and Tri-Valley and graduated in 1971. She graduated from M.A.T.C. with an associate’s degree in Business Administration and Ohio University Zanesville with her bachelor’s degree in Specialized Studies.
She is survived by her brothers, Lester J. Hanna, Mark N. Hanna, special sister Tami Hurley, her children; William O. McMullen Jr., Angel M. Palmer (Philip), James O. McMullen (Laura), Desireaux A. Smock (Jason), and Clint C. McMullen (Lisa) and three stepchildren; Nicole A. Henry (David), Cinnamon S. Hill, and Jack R. Rowland. Faye had many grandchildren; Katie, Shane, Jamie, Kingston, Phoenix, Anthony, J.W., Sage, Selah, Sienna, Zachary, Alexander, Christopher, Paige, Autumn, Angel, Nick, Abby, Deseree, Legacy, Blake, Drake, Colton, Maizee, Colton, Hayden, Savannah and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Eleanor M. Rowland, and younger brother, Mitchell R. Hanna.
Faye was known for never turning away anyone in need, and being a mother to far more than just her own children. She taught the JOG program at Cambridge High School for many years, she had served as a Sunday school teacher at State Street Apostolic Church, and had been a caregiver to many family members. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love and will be ever present in the hearts of those she touched.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Self-provided face masks be worn and social distancing be observed during the calling hour and funeral service.
