Florence Ada Lyons, 97, of Zanesville, died at 9:25 A.M. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, surrounded by her loving family and friends at Genesis Hospice: Morrison House. She was born June 10, 1915, in Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Isa Gill Farris. She retired as a Line Supervisor from Essex Wire and was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church. She loved crocheting, needlework, and various other crafts. She was an avid bowler and camper, and belonged to the NCHA and several local camping clubs. Surviving are a daughter Diana Cina of Oklahoma City, OK; two sons, Edward (Gloria) Lyons of Birmingham, AL, and David (Karen) Lyons of Zanesville; eight grandchildren, Cindy, Carol, Kelly, Holly, Dustin, Shannon, Kristi, and Kathi; seven great grandchildren, Cameron, Katie, Josie, Dylon, Jared, Benson, and Jackson; special caregiver Teresa Jesse of Zanesville; and her dog companion Rocky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Cecil G. Lyons, who died January 9, 1994; a sister Laura Farris; and a brother Howard Farris. Friends and family may call from 9:00-11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 21, 2012, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. L. Steven Fewell & Rev. Tom England officiating. Florence will be laid to rest next to her husband, Cecil, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
