Florence Mae Marshall Roach, 87, of Zanesville, died at 10:10 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born April 1, 1921, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Lydia George Marshall. She was a former waitress for Howard Johnson's and Elby's Restaurant and served as a foster grandmother for 25 years at the Careytown Center. She was a member of the First Christian Church and American Legion Post #29. Surviving are six daughters, Gertrude Pearl Campbell of Columbus, Sharon E. (Robert) Craddock of Adamsville, Susan Ann Conaway and friend, Bill Pawlosky of Zanesville, Jeanne M. (Rodney) Cohagen of Nashport, Tamara Lynn (Sherman) Wisecarver of Zanesville and Cathy L. (Keith) Havens of Nashport; a son, Jeffrey Don (Cathy) Roach of Zanesville; 24 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don H. Roach, who died February 7, 1987; a daughter, Donna Jean Hott; two sons, Lawrence Campbell and Patrick M. Roach; a sister, Alice Pearl Miller and five brothers, Don Marshall, Densil Marshall, Ralph Marshall, Carl Marshall and George Marshall. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.
