Florence Louise Risen Schreiber, 88, of Zanesville, died at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born July 24, 1917 in Springfield Twp., a daughter of the late Henry E. And Ida M. Ethell Risen. In 1925 her family moved to Chicago. She graduated from William Rainy High School in 1936 and then attended Chicago College of Commerce. She was secretary to the Assistant Personnel Director of Walgreen's Drug Store and in 1948 she married Raymond F. Schreiber and moved back to Zanesville She worked in the office of Ohio Porcelain and Standard Oil Company. Florence enjoyed doing many crafts, such as sewing, crocheting, ceramics and painting. She was a Protestant by faith, was a former member of Seneca Camping Club and a longtime member of the Philo-Duncan Falls Homemakers. Surviving are her son, Randall (Jeri) Schreiber of Zanesville, two grandsons, Michael and Matthew Schreiber both of Zanesville and a granddaughter, Leigh Ann (Adam) Saunders of Durham, NC. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond F. Schreiber, who died December 18, 1996 and by two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006 with Rev. Rob Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
