Forrest Simon

Forrest Dale Simon, 73, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family following an extended illness. Son of the late Frank Simon and Opal Dietch Simon. Forrest was born in Martins Ferry Ohio on May 22nd 1944. Forrest worked as an auto mechanic and body man. He enjoyed antiques, stock car racing, and hunting. He spent his life with his loving wife of 48 years Patricia (Carnes) Simon raising 7 children, Tamara, Tina (Justin), Regina, Bill (Lynnette), Tonya, Thomas, and Forrest Jr. (Amanda). Forrest was a loving grandfather to 15 grandchildren, Joey (Kenya), Brittany, Kaylanda, Kayla (Chris), Elyssa, Karissa, Anissa, Summer, Cody, Gabby, Leah, Ally, Hannah, Preston, and Zackary, along with numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Alex Simon and Joe (Martha) Simon; and four sisters, Nancy Passarelli, June Dilley, Karen Simon, and Sharon (Paul) Nunley. Forrest was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie, Frank and Terry Simon. A Cremation-With-Care has taken place and there will be a celebration of life held Sunday, September 17, 2017 starting at 12:00 P.M. at FOP Lodge 5, 3155 Perry Drive, Zanesville, Ohio.
