Frances M. Blackstone, 92, of New Concord, formerly of Zanesville, died at 10:15 A.M. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Beckett House in New Concord. She was born March 2, 1920, in Mt. Sterling, a daughter of the late Floyd L. and Elda G. Painter Snider. She worked as an assistant supervisor for Adams Lane Care Center, owned the Edendale Motel on West Pike, and worked for Hazel Atlas Glass. Surviving are two daughters, Connie Bee Adkins of Zanesville, and Elda (Charles) Blake of Cambridge; a son Richard E. Fox of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren, Kim (Jody) Spencer, Gregory (Sue) Bee, Brian (Lorita) Bee, Mark (Barbara) Blake, and Todd (Joylynn) Blake; twelve great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Gutridge and Lucille Bratcher; and a son-in-law Jim E. Bee. No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will take place at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot, with her grandsons, Pastor Brian Bee and Rev. Mark Blake officiating. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, was entrusted with all arrangements.
