Frances I. Murphy

Frances I. Murphy, 81, of Zanesville, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2008 at Autumn Healthcare of Zanesville. She was born December 23, 1926, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Annabelle Young Schindler. She retired after 25 years of service as an assembler for Essex Wire. Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Dale) Ackerman and Diana (Ron) Tom, both of Zanesville; 6 grandchildren, John (Sheena) Fortner, Chad (Holly) Tom, Lanette (Tony) Potts, Jamie Phillips, Melissa Ackerman and Scott (Danielle) Ackerman; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Schindler and Paul (Liz) Schindler, both of Zanesville; three sisters, Martha (Randall) Carpenter and Rosemary (Robert) Hoadley, both of Zanesville and Joyce Minch of Michigan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Murphy, who died in 1996. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008 at the funeral home with Mr. William Meaige officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
