Frances M. Sherfy

Frances M. Sherfy, 92, of Zanesville, died at 12:45 A.M. on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born October 27, 1921, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Leo F. and Theresa Gauss Dusenberry. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Surviving are three daughters, Linda Brown of Pataskala, Deborah (Stan ) Merris of Xenia, and Nancy (Delbert) Alford of Zanesville; four sons, Ronald F. (Ingrid) Sherfy of Zanesville, Gerald U. (Molly) Sherfy of Turner, OR, David L. (Mary) Sherfy of Zanesville, and Robert J. (Rosemary) Sherfy of Zanesville; two brothers, Edward (Sue) Dusenberry of Gloucester, VA, and Vincent Dusenberry of Uniontown; a close friend Sandi Bartoli of Zanesville; three sisters-in-law, Wilma Dusenberry of Zanesville, Elaine Dusenberry of Columbus, MS, and Ruth Dusenberry of Nashport; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vane U. Sherfy, who died March 14, 1989; three sisters; and five brothers. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 3, 2014, with a Dominican Father officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Vane at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Zanesville.
