Frances M. Thomas

Frances M. Thomas, 87, of Zanesville, died at 9:52 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born September 2, 1922, in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Carl and Mable Fish Waterhouse. She was a member of Immaculate Conception in Willoughby, Ohio and St. Thomas Catholic Church in Zanesville. Surviving are three sons, Dennis E. (Donna) Thomas of Houston, Texas, William (Susan) Thomas of Mentor, Ohio and Peter (Mary Kay) Thomas of Painsville, Ohio; three daughters, Bonnie (William Jr.) Orosz of Zanesville, and Mary (Ralph) Taylor of Middlefield, Ohio and Kathleen (Robert) Glover of Ormond Beach, Florida; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a brother, Carl Waterhouse of Tosi, Arizona; and two sisters, Marjorie Batuski of Anita, PA and Nita Moore of Conneaut Lake, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barney E. Thomas, who died in 1992; a son, Donald Thomas; and a brother, Clifford Waterhouse. No calling hours will be observed. A dignified cremation has taken place. Burial will follow at a later date at Mentor Cemetery in Mentor, Ohio. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is entrusted with all arrangements.
