FRANCES Fran I. ZELLAR of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Friday February 24, 2017, she was 92 years old. She was born August 16, 1924 to Frank and Martha Elliott of West Middlesex, Pennsylvania. Fran graduated from Warren Consolidated High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Muskingum College. She went on to teach in the Zanesville City School District, where she eventually retired after 36 years. Fran inspired many lives, young and old, through her many years of teaching. She was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, enjoyed family trips to the beach with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, shopping with the girls, attending various sporting and recital events for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and telling stories of her time at Muskingum College as a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Fran was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Martha Elliott, sister and brother-in-law Al and Ina Jane Helquist, husband Jay B. Zellar and former husband Walter E. Taylor Jr. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children; Becky (Stephen) Flower and Bonnie (Rick) Winland of Zanesville; her five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; Amy (Kenny) Mclain and their children Tag (Kylie and Aleah) Tucker and Gracie Mclain, R.D.(Stephanie) Winland and their children, Carter and Ellie Winland, Wendy James-Winland and her children, Cameron (Chloe), Kirkland and Savannah James, Alli (Matt) Reed and their children Emmy and Easton Reed, all of Zanesville, and Angie (Hank) Ray and their children Cannon and Marleigh Ray of Cincinnati; and her two loving friends and caregivers Judy Chambers and Vicki Wilson and their families. Celebration of life services will be conducted by BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Visitation, Monday February 27, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm & 6:00-8:00pm with the service being held Tuesday February 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Doris Flynn officiating.
