Fred J. Grundy, 65, of Zanesville, died at 6:45 P.M. Monday, February 1, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born May 11, 1944 at Zanesville, a son of the late Albert and Ella Smith Grundy. He had worked at Essex Wire and was a member of the Evangelism Center. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Jean Tenney Grundy of the home, two sons, Jeff (Rhonda) Grundy of Zanesville and Justin (Melissa) Grundy of Coshocton; two daughters, Valerie (Mark) Potts of Zanesville and Tammy (Daniel) Rusnak of Mt. Perry; eight grandchildren, Nicholas and Cameron Potts, Kyle, Zachary and Noah Rusnak, Katie, Nathan and Michael Grundy; a brother, Jack ( Pam) Grundy of Newark; five sisters, LaFern ( Arthur) Loughlin of Johnstown, Jean Davis of Arizona, Mildred (Keith) Hughes of Brownsville, Nellie (Bill) Fields of Brownsville and Margaret (Walter) Norman of Zanesville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Hughes and Clara Campbell and a brother, Albert Grundy. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 5, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Arthur Potts officiating. Burial will follow at Fultonham Cemetery.
