Fredrick M. Schneider, Sr., 75, of Dresden, died at 11:27 P.M. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 4, 1942, in Zanesville, a son of the late Hugo and Susan McCoy Schneider. He was a Master Electrician with the IBEW Local Union 1105 for over fifty years, a member of the NRA, and a 4-H advisor. He was an avid hunter, farmer, and fisherman and built the family home from Poplar trees that he sawed, logged, and hauled on his farm. He is survived by his wife of fifty five years, Cheryl A. Hoover Schneider, whom he married January 13, 1963; two daughters, Debbie (Brian Rich) Hittle and Darla (Bruce Adams) Schneider; a son, Joshua (Lindsay) Schneider; eleven grandchildren, Fredrick Schneider III, Mitch Adams, Tony Adams, Klare Hittle, Wolfgang Hittle, Angie Bohn, Stone Schneider, Magnus Schneider, Seth Schneider, Emily Schneider, and Benjamin Schneider; thirteen great-grandchildren, Ryan, Alexis, Ruger, Harmonie, Hayden, Riley, Lily, Annabelle, Hunter, Chevy, Sydney, Remington, and Copen; a sister, Mary Schneider; and three brothers, Jim, Mike, and Dan Schneider. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Fredrick M. Schneider, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Schneider; a granddaughter, Shayla Schneider; a grandson, Jimmy Bohn; a great-grandson, Colt Hittle; two sisters, Pamela Sue and Susie Schneider; two brothers, Martin and Ernie Schneider; and a sister-in-law, Beth Ann Hoover. A Cremation-With-Care has taken place with no calling hours or service to be observed. The family will have a private Celebration of Life.
