Frieda Alexander Phillips

Frieda Alexander Phillips, 95, of Zanesville, died at 4:57 A.M. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born on November 7, 1922 in Meigs Township, Muskingum County, a daughter of the late Thorenton and Hazel Ellis Alexander. Frieda was a graduate of Meigs High School and a member of Ark Spring Baptist Church. She had worked in sales, Civil Service, and Hoover Company. In 1975, she earned her Real Estate License and worked for 10 years at H&R Block. Frieda liked traveling, flowers, and sewing. She was a past member of the Muskingum County Genealogical Society, First Families of Muskingum County and Daughters of the American Revolution. She also had articles published in Muskingum County History, Southeastern Ohio Books. She is survived by her son, Donald (Rebecca) Phillips; four grandsons, William (Sandy Fraley) Phillips, Michael (Mylinda) Phillips, Dustin (Heather) Phillips, and Bryan Phillips; and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Conner Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Phillips; two brothers, Clyde and Dwight Alexander; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Earich Friends and family may call from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where the funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with Pastor Don Day officiating.
