George Black

George E. Black, 84, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 3:01 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born July 12, 1920 in Vinton County, the son of the late John and Opal Gibson Black. Mr. Black was a faithful 60 year employee as a oil field worker for the Biesser Coal and Oil Company. Surviving are his wife Elsie Marple Black, whom he married January 1940 of the home, two sons, Donald R. (Carol) Black of Corpus Cristi, TX., and George H. (Judy) Black of Zanesville, a sister, Marie Kuhn of Zanesville, and a brother, Wilbur Black of Zanesville, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and m many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Wilcox and Marcella Collins, and a granddaughter Stacey Black. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2005 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the funeral home with Herbert Alexander officiating.Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park
