Gerald Edmund "Jerry" DesRosiers, 75, of Zanesville, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born October 25, 1930 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, a son of the late Louis DesRosiers and Mary Jane LeToeur Lindsay. He was a Industrial Engineer with Champion Spark Plug Co. Retiring after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Francine Scandarito DesRosiers, whom he married December 27, 1974, of the home; three daughters, Valerie (Patrick) King of Smethport, PA, Michelle (Christopher) Patterson and Melissa DesRosiers both of Zanesville, three sons; Rand DesRosiers of New Braunfels, Texas and Gordy (Crystal) DesRosiers of Austin, Texas and David ( Pam) DesRosiers of Sterling Heights, Michigan, ten grandchildren, a sister; Margo Shanklin of Windsor, Canada, two brothers; Donald (Delores) DesRosiers of Las Vegas, Nevada and William (Marie) Lindsay of New Baltimore, Michigan. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. Mr. B.N. Peterson officiating.Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military honors at the grave. Vigil services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
