Geraldine Broughton

Geraldine Broughton, 98, of Zanesville, died at 5:37 P.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the Willow Haven Care Center. She was born October 21, 1915, in Roseville. Geraldine graduated from the Good Samaritan School of Nursing Class, of 1937, later became a nursing instructor for the program, and she had owned her own long-term nursing care facility. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, baking, and reading, and was a member of First Christian Church. Surviving are a granddaughter Elizabeth (Russell) Hardcastle of Zanesville; and a great grandson Andrew Thomas Hardcastle. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Raymond "Bud" Broughton; two sons, Thomas Lewis Broughton and Robert Lewis Broughton; and a daughter Patricia Ann Broughton. Friends and family may call from 10:00-10:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville, with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating.
