Geraldine Wilson Wooley Pace, passed away peacefully at 5:05 a.m. on March 3, 2006 at Willow Haven Care Center. Gerrie was born February 17, 1920, to the late Tacy L. and Roy H. Wilson. She made her home in the Columbus area for more than 50 years, and more recently, in Zanesville. Gerrie was preceded in death by husbands, the late Cecil Jon Wooley, father of her two sons, and the late James G. Pace. She was a Daughter of the American Revolution, a graduate of Lash High School and the Maurice Beauty College in Zanesville. Gerrie was once active in PTA's and at Broad Street Christian Church, where she was a member for many years. Gerrie loved to read and in her later years developed an avid interest in the arts. Gerrie is survived by her brother Ellis (Velma) Wilson of Zanesville and her sisters, Marilyn Berkshire of Lancaster and Evelyn Miller of Zanesville, her sons, Steven E. ( Elaine) Wooley of Charlotte, NC. and Stanley (Julia) Wooley of Roswell, GA.. Gerrie's pride and joy were her six grandchildren: Katrina (Joe) O'Connor, Stephanie (JB) Hogg and David Wooley, all of Charlotte, NC., Bethany (Jeff) Mason of Marietta, GA., Steven P. Wooley of San Antonio, TX. and Sarah (Andrew) Forth of Tacoma, WA.. Great grandchildren include Patrick and Megan O'Connor, Caitlyn and Carrigan Hogg, Avery and Connor Mason and Meleah Forth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and two very special friends, Kathy Wooley and Ruth Mosley. The Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville, OH is in charge of the caring cremation requested by Geraldine. The family plans a private memorial service at a later date. Donations may be made in Gerrie's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
