Gladys Mae Dilley, 100, of Zanesville, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Willow Haven Care Center. She was born September 3, 1909, in Ethel, Ohio, in Monroe County, a daughter of the late Clement Hiram and Margaret Jane Winland Hines. She was a member of the Norval Park Church of Christ. Surviving are four daughters, Nancy Eakin of Lockbourne, Ohio, Jessie (Lou) Smith of Zanesville, Pat (Jerry) Jones of Heath and Selena Dilley of Canal Winchester; two sons, James (Patricia) Dilley of Zanesville and David (Louise) Dilley of Piedmont, S.C.; 7 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Hines of Woodsfield, Ohio; a brother, Ellis (Vera) Hines of Woodsfield and a brother-in-law, Forrest Rose of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Dilley, who died September 25, 1979; four sisters, Elma Franks, Edna Rose, Carrie Rutledge, and Anne Rose; two brothers, John Hines and Mansel Hines; and a son-in-law, Dan Eakin. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Norval Park Church of Christ, 845 Arch St., Zanesville with Dallas Lockhart and Keith Kress officiating.
