Gladys Mae Wylie, 84, of Zanesville, died at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Genesis Extended Care & Rehab Center. She was born June 23, 1922, in New Concord, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Daisey Lyons Stevens. She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years. Surviving are a son, Larry Wylie of Zanesville; two sisters, Freda McFarland of Cambridge and Norma Soper of Baltimore, OH; three grandchildren, Larry G. King of Zanesville, Christopher S. King of Roseville and Barry Joseph Wylie of Naples, Florida; numerous great grandchildren and a very loving friend, Diane L. Jones of Zanesville. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Wylie, who died August 8, 1988; a sister, Lillie Carter and two brothers, Chester Stevens and Clyde Stevens.. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. Reginald Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
