Glen Howard Hallowell, 94, of Zanesville, died at 6:10 A.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 20, 1928, in Chesterhill, a son of the late Dennis and Iva (Huffman) Hallowell. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired as an electrician with the IBEW. He was a Methodist by faith. Glen enjoyed fishing, golf, wood working, camping and boating. He also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Football. He was a member of Hog Wild Good Sam Club Chapter 14 and member of the Valley Lodge No.145 F &AM of Malta.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara (Miller) Hallowell; four step-children, Bonnie (Glenn) Miller, Sherry (Steve) Smith, Teresa (Bill) Kettlewell, and Susie Jones; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Elma Lou (David) Strigwolt; a brother, Dale (Julia) Hallowell; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Miller and Dick Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Charles; sisters, Dolores, Norma, and Mae; a step-daughter, Debbie Miller; and a step-son, James Jones.
A private family service was held. Glen was laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora.
