Glenford "Glen" Lee James

Glenford "Glen" Lee James, 85, of Zanesville, died at 1:49 A.M. on Friday, September 14, 2018, at Southeast Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born November 17, 1932, in Zanesville, a son of the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Bland James. He was a United States Navy Veteran and Owner/Operator of Glen James and Sons. Glen was a member or Rushing Wind Biker Church, VFW George Selsam Post 1058, American Legion Post 29, life member of Malta Lodge #118 F. & A.M., and life member H.O.G. He rode Harley Davidsons all of his life, loved his grandchildren and his animals. He is survived by four daughters, Glenna (Mark) Everett, Pamela McDole, Gloria (Tim) Dalessandri, and Lori Tilton; five sons, Keith (Melissa) James, Dan (Tina) James, Russell (Trish) James, Doug (Bev) James, and John (Jill) James; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Jo) James; and a sister, Marlene Huffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria J. Roberts James whom he married October 13, 1951 and died February 3, 2003; a great-granddaughter, Savannah Grace Tilton; two sons-in-law, Keith Tilton and Gary McDole; two brothers, Bob and John; and two sisters, Ruth Wright and Cindy Perry. Friends and family may call from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 17, 2018, with Pastor Michael McGuire officiating. Full Military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Navy in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29. He will be laid to rest by his beloved wife, Gloria, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Zanesville.
