Glenn C. Parker, 93, of Zanesville, died at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007 at his residence. He was born September 29, 1913, in Rutland, North Dakota, a son of the late Charles H. and Ella Christian Ahrlin Parker. He was a Lutheran by faith, received his PH D. from the University of Chicago - Illinois and was a superintendent in Hensonburg, PA and retired from Marietta, Ohio. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Harriett C Hagerty Parker, of the home; three sons, Glenn R. Parker of Zanesville, Charles R. (Sherry) Parker of Florida and James H. Parker of Richmond, Indiana; a daughter, Patricia (Bill) Dehnart of Brilliant, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren and two sisters, Gerda Griffith of California and Carmin (Leonard) Heinen of Minnesota. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. No calling will be observed. A caring cremation has taken place and burial will take place at Duncan Falls Cemetery at a later date. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville are entrusted with all arrangements.
