Gordon C. Hill, 79, of Zanesville died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital. He was born August 7, 1925 in Ashtabula, Ohio, a son of the late Frank F. And Zella F. Kelley Hill. He worked for 25 years at Culligan Soft Water, was a Presbyterian by faith, a World War II Army Veteran, a lifetime member of VFW George Selam Post 1058 and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 29. Gordon enjoyed golfing. Surviving are his wife, Shirley M. Agin Hill, whom he married December 23, 1950, a daughter, Sandra K. (Bill) Forker of Zanesville, three sons; William (Donna) Hill and Steven Hill both of Zanesville and Kevin Hill of New Concord, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, LuAnn Hill of New Concord, a sister, Bernadine (Joe) Kovacevic of Conneaut, Ohio , brother, Francis (Nubuko) Weeks of Ashtabula. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy J. Hill who died November 13, 1992. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2005 at the funeral home with Rev. Ray C. Morrison, Jr. Officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the grave.
