Gordon Kelly Martin

SGT. GORDON KELLY MARTIN, age 38, of Zanesville, Ohio, died at 6:00 pm Saturday, August 6, 2005 at his residence. He was born January 21, 1967 in Zanesville, the son of Michael Martin and the late Merle Kassell Murray. Mr. Martin was a construction worker, a US Army veteran, a member of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and a member of the Lutheran faith. Surviving his father Michael Martin of Blue Rock, his step mother,Starrlet Martin of Blue Rock, his step father, Carl Murray of Zanesville, one son, Adam Martin of Bloomfield, four sisters, V. Sue Valentine of Zanesville, Karolyn (John) Fitch of Zanesville, Teresa (Tom) Saner of Galena, and Kimberly Wakley of Zanesville, five brothers, Michael (Dee) Martin, Steve (Lainie) Martin, Harvey (Shannon) Martin, Clay Martin, all of Zanesville, and Jesse (Megan) Martin of Roseville. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by Maternal grandparents, Harvey and Verna Kassell, paternal grandparents, Julian Martin and Blanche and Raymond Alexander. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at the Bolin-Dierkes and Cremation Services at 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with the Rev. J. Stephen Harrop officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Stovertown Cemetery, Stovertown Ohio with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 holding military services at the gravesite
