Gregory C. Mock, 53, of Zanesville, died at 2:07 P.M. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room. Greg was born on May 8, 1963 in Zanesville, a son of Mary Ruth Green Mock and the late John G. Mock. Greg gave the gift of life as an organ donor. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a graduate of ZHS Class of 1981. Greg enjoyed Soap Box Derby and was the founder of the National Derby Rally. He was very active in coaching sports and school activities for his children. Greg enjoyed IndyCar Racing, wood crafting and attending Ohio State Sports. Surviving in addition to his mother; three children, daughters, Alexandria Mock and Marissa Mock; a son, Johnathon Mock; sister, Deborah (William) Howard; two brothers, Jeffrey (Mitzi) Mock and Robert (Norma) Mock; brother-in-law, Hal (Paula) Hamilton; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Jack) Brown; and lots of loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by wife, Heather Hamilton Mock, who died on March 27, 2009.
