Gregory J. Smith

Gregory J. Smith, 35, of Zanesville, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2007 at his residence. He was born April 4, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Christa Stephens Smith. Gregory was a self employed floor and tile setter and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Surviving are his wife, Giesela Jones Smith, whom he married August 24, 1996 of the home; his parents, Clarence and Christa Stephens Smith of Johnstown, Ohio; a sister Chesi Smith of Columbus; a brother, Gary (Carrie) Smith of Centerburg, Ohio; his maternal grandmother, Sara Stephens of Zanesville; his mother-in-law, Judy Jones of Nashport and his father-in-law, Richard Jones of TX; special companions, Scooby Doo and Fuzzy and many, many friends. No calling hours will be observed and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville to handle all arrangements.
