Gwendolyn M (Northcott) Francis

Gwendolyn M. Francis, 95, of Zanesville, died at 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born January 18, 1915, in New Lisbon, WI, a daughter of the late Glenn M. and Hilda Jacobson Northcott. Gwendolyn and her husband were former owners of the General Store in Bridgeville. She was an avid reader, loved crocheting and enjoyed cooking and collecting new recipes. She is survived by a daughter, Diana Francis of Zanesville; a son, Thomas (Mary) Francis of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Carrie (Greg) Whiteman of Zanesville, Tom (Felicia) Francis of Lancaster, Maria (Ernie) Pick of Azle, TX and Mary (Matt) June of Zanesville; 11 great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Northcott of New Lisbon, WI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Francis, who died April 25, 1977; and two brothers, Glenn and Doug Northcott. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. today, Thursday, December 23, 2010 at St. Paul Cemetery, near Sonora with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating.
