H. Dean Phillips, 72, of Zanesville, founder of Phillips Meat Processing on Ridge Road, died at 4:04 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Genesis Good Samaritan emergency room. He was born September 14, 1935 in Zanesville a son of the late Herman Wesley and Maybelle O'Toole Phillips. He retired as a truck driver for Integrity Supply after 35 years of service. Dean was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and loved to hunt and fish. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy A. Miller Phillips, whom he married December 31, 1954, of the home, three sons, Dale Dean ( Roxann) Phillips and Jimmie J. ( Sue) Phillips all of Zanesville and Cotton John ( Katie) Phillips of Lakewood; five grandchildren, Chase Phillips, Casey Dean ( Robin) Phillips, Chancie Phillips, Josie Phillips and Jack Phillips; three great grandchildren, Bailey King, Caden Phillips and Madison Phillips; a brother, James (Mary) Phillips of Zanesville. No calling hours will be held. A memorial service will be held August 31, 2008 at Dorothy Faye Park in Zanesville with the time to be announced.
