H. James Swingle, 70, of Nashport, died at 7:03 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born May 27, 1936 in Chagrin Falls, a son of the late Harold R. & Lillian Reer Swingle. He was a member of Maranatha Bible Church, retired as a salesman for Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Company and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Surviving are three daughters; Stephanie (Matthew) Kirkham of Fairmount, IL., Rebecca ( Kirk) Flinte and Jennifer ( Dean) Whisnant both of Greenville, SC, two sons; James J. (Julie) Swingle of Charlotte, NC and Stephen S. Swingle of Greenville, SC, four grandchildren; Kathryn Sue Kirkham, Benjamin James Kirkham, Lauren Elizabeth Kirkham and Jonas Alexander Flinte. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Sue Swingle, who he married December 2, 1967 and who died April 2, 2003, a brother, Norman Swingle and a sister, Carol Sinzinger. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Maranatha Bible Church, 2400 Chandlersville Road, Zanesville with Pastor L. Dale McCallister officiating. Burial will follow at Irville Cemetery with VFW George Selsam Post 1058 hold full military rites at the grave. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Maranatha Missions or to The Wilds Christian Camp Association.
