Arden Tewksbury, 80, of Zanesville died at 2:55 p.m. on Tuesday,November 9, 2004 at Genesis Extended Care & Rehab Center. Born in Zanesville August 5, 1924; he was a retired architect who had practiced in Zanesville since 1950 and had been a staff architect for the Ohio State University from 1970 to 1988. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and had served as an elder and trustee. He was a graduate of the Ohio State University and had served as a Board member of the OSU TBDBITL Alumni Band. Mr. Tewksbury was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former Rotarian in Zanesville, a former Board member of the Breakfast Sertoma Club of Columbus, a member of the American Institute of Architects, a member of A.I.A. Ohio, a member of the National Model Railroad Association, and a life member of The National Rifle Association. Surviving are a daughter, Anita F. Owen, of Zanesville; a son, Linn A. Tewksbury, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Tewksbury, of Cincinnati; granddaughters, Ashley Mikal and Lindsey Mikal; a grandson, Gregory Tewksbury; and a dear friend, Mary McKee, of Frazeysburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances N. Tewksbury, whom he married August 25, 1957; his parents, W. Owen and Marietta Sutton Tewksbury; and a brother Arlen K. Tewksbury. Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Friday, November 12, 2004 at Bolin Funeral Home; 1271 Blue Avenue; Zanesville. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Bolin Funeral Home; 1271 Blue Avenue; Zanesville with Rev. Ray C. Morrison, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
