H Elizabeth Wolfe

H. Elizabeth Wolfe, 86, of Zanesville, died at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born November 6, 1920 in Chandlersville, Ohio, a daughter of the late William Corwin and Lura Barnes Miller. She retired after 25 years of service as a elementary school teacher for Zanesville City Schools. She was a longtime member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors's Degree in Science and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Chandlersville. Elizabeth was also a member of Lutheran Social Services and a volunteer at Christ's Table. Surviving are a daughter, Beth (Jim) Carpenter of Zanesville; a son, Keith (Barbara) Wolfe of Hopewell; four grandchildren, Jae Carpenter and Ashley Carpenter, both of Columbus, Julie and Kurt Wolfe, both of Hopewell; a sister, Mary Earhart of Zanesvillle; a brother, Joe (Jeanette) Miller of Norwich; two brother-in-laws, John (Lavina) Wolfe of Columbus and Ernest Frazier of Zanesville; two sister-in-laws, Alice McDonald of Zanesville and Mary Wolfe of Columbus and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Wolfe, who died November 17, 2006; two sisters, Ruth Frazier and Catherine Frazier; four brother-in-laws, Leland Frazier, Robert Earhart, Sherman Wolfe and John McDonald. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007 with Pastor Brian George officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
