Harold V. Luke, 87, of Zanesville, died at 12:35 a.m. on Sunday, June 03, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on April 1, 1925 in Noble County near Carlisle, OH to the late Harley and Florence Needs Luke. Harold retired as a machinist in 1988 from Burnham Boiler Foundry. He was a member of Woodlawn Avenue Church of Christ. He was a song leader in the church and enjoyed singing with other members of the church. Surviving are his wife, Fay A. Fleeman Luke, who he married on September 5, 1946; a daughter, Vicky A. Barnett of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Ashley Dawn King of Blacklick and Joshua Luke (Danielle) Barnett of Frazeysburg; and three great- grandchildren , Jeremy Barnett, Kylie King and Katerie Barnett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Luke; and two sisters, Geneva Snider and Eleanor Mason. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, OH where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 with Evangelist Lester Hurst officiating. Harold will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
