Harriet Hazen Warne, 85, of San Jose, CA, formerly of Mansfield, OH died at 9:00 A.M. Monday, December 27, 2004 at the Oak Meadows Care Center, Los Gatos, CA after a lengthy illness. She was born December 19, 1919 in Zanesville to the late Albert and Lillie Schmitt Hazen. She had worked as a telephone operator and clerk at Ohio Bell, Nevada Bell, AT&T, and Sprint. She was a member of the Ohio Bell Pioneers, the Mansfield Sailing Club, and the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Harry Warne, whom she married March 24, 1942; one son, Bradley (Penny) Warne, of San Jose, CA; two granddaughters, Jillian and Stephanie Warne, of San Jose, CA; four nieces, Karen Warne-Russell, of Detroit, Michigan, Dixie Brannon, Polly Jenkins, and Linda King all of Zanesville; three nieces, Carla McKown, of Zanesville, Ann Sparrow, of Springfield, OH, and Susan Black, of Morehead, KY; two nephews, Tom Kendall and Steve Kendall, both of Springfield, OH. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Hazen. A memorial service will be held in the spring at a later date at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave, Zanesville. Burial will take place at Zanesville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Odyssey Health Care Inc., 1500 Hamilton Ave. Suite 212 , Campbell, CA 95008 or the First United Methodist Church, 12 Diamond Street, Mansfield, OH 44902. Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville entrusted with all arrangements.
