Harry Thurman Howard, 92, of South Zanesville, died at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his home. He was born September 13, 1930 in Zanesville, a son to the late Harry V. and Mildred (Pyle) Howard. Harry was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He owned and operated Howard Construction Company. He was a member of the South Zanesville Methodist Church, V.F.W., American Legion, Eagles, Elks, and the Muskingum Valley Boating Association.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy G., (Nutt) Howard; a son, Randy (Beckie) Howard; a daughter Tammy (Steve) Vincent; five grandchildren, Ryan Howard, Amelia (Casey) Lepi, Sarah (Chase) Tippie, Laura (Austin) James and Noah Vincent; ten great grandchildren; four brothers, Allen Howard, Jim (Jeanette) Howard, Dave Howard and Bob (Gail) Howard.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son; Michael Howard and four brothers; Harley, Bill, and Stanley Howard and two sisters-in-law, Rebecca Howard and Roseann Howard
Friends and family may call from2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2023 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2023 with Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park, Zanesville with full Military honors accorded to him by the United States Marine Corp and the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
