Harry L. Kirk, 86, of Zanesville, died at 4:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born January 2, 1921, in Muskingum County, a son of the late Leroy and Edna E. Epler Kirk. Harry retired as a truck driver for Zanesville Mould Company. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, a lifetime member of American Legion Post 29 and was a WWII US Army Veteran. He was an avid bowler and loved all sports. Surviving are a daughter, Judy Lee of Zanesville; two granddaughters, Lori L. (Frank) Franklin of Las Vegas, Nevada and Lisa A. Martin of Zanesville; four great granddaughters, Samantha Franklin and Rebecca Franklin, both of Las Vegas, Nevada, Brittney Smith and Ashley Martin, both of Zanesville; his first wife, Alma Mautz of the home; several nieces and nephews; special friends of the family, Phil Smith, Tex Howe and Bill Buzza, all of Zanesville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Helen Boetcher Kirk, who died November 11, 1991; two brothers, Edward Kirk and Alford "Jake" Kirk; a sister, Virginia Dingey and a son-in-law, Derl Lee. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the funeral home with Pastor Dean Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the graveside.
