Hazel Irene (Brock) Dunlap

Hazel Irene Dunlap, 94, of Zanesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior whom she served and followed her whole life at 4:30 A.M. on Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born June 4, 1920, in Hopewell, Ohio, a daughter of the late William J. Bryan and Lennie Wible Brock. She was a member of Word of Life Ministries and was a volunteer at the Bethesda Hospital. She is survived by one son Delmer Dean (Sharon) Dunlap of Zanesville; a sister Margaret "Peg" Lear of Zanesville; a sister-in-law Rhea Brock of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Susan Dunlap and her husband Christopher Bogush of West Hollywood, CA, Lynda (Brian) Hoyle of Twinsburg, OH, and Debbie Dunlap of Westerville, OH; two great grandchildren Dean Hoyle and Laura Hoyle; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband Elmer L. Dunlap, who died in 1981; a son Donald Duane Dunlap who died in 1944; two brothers, Robert and Donald Brock; and two sisters Kathryn Bunker and Wanda Hutchinson. Friends and Family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 20, 2015, with Pastor John Sensabaugh officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Muskingum Valley Miracle League: P.O. Box 185, Zanesville, Ohio 43702-0185, whom she supported from its inception; or to Word of Life Ministries, 713 Dryden Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
