Hazel L. Snyder

January 18, 1917 — February 2, 2005

Hazel Louise Snyder, 88, of Adams Care Lane Center, passed away at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was a daughter of the late S. Lewis Garrett and Susan V. (Denbow) Garrett and a graduate of Lash High School. Mrs. Snyder was a former employee of the old A.E. Starr Co. and Hazel Atlas/Continental Can/Brockway Glass companies. Born Jan. 18, 1917, in Zanesville, she lived her entire life here and was a Protestant by faith. She is survived by a daughter, Judy (Jim) Potts of 1208 Federal Ave., Zanesville, and a son, Gail (Garren) Snyder of 4093 Addison Pike, Gallipolis. There are seven grandchildren, Michael Kirkbride, Doug Kirkbride, Jeff Kirkbride, Lisa Kirkbride, Gina Snyder, Grady Snyder and Gwenda Snyder. She had five great-grandchildren, David Kirkbride, Austin Kirkbride, Clinton Kirkbride, Jesse Kirkbride and Carson Hodge. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton E. Snyder, who died in 1984; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, with the Rev. Ray C. Morrison Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
