Hazel J. Wilhite

May 25, 1936 — August 30, 2011

Hazel J. Wilhite, 75, of Zanesville, died peacefully at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital after a short illness. Hazel was born May 25, 1936, in Trinway, Ohio, a daughter of the late Hiram D. and Glenna M. Jones Seenes. She was a member of New Hope Full Gospel Church, T.O.P.S. (K.O.P.S. level) and Koinonia ZK-11. She loved to sing hymns, attend Gospel Sings and working word puzzles. Most of all, she loved Jesus, her late husband, Farris, her children and her grandchildren. She is survived and cherished by her son, Farris (Elissa) Wilhite Jr.; her daughter, Betsy Jane Mount; two grandsons, Rick and Adam Bice; three brothers, Virgil (Ruth), Dick (Bonnie) and Carl; a brother-in-law, Paul Lee; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Farris W. Wilhite Sr., who died July 25, 1996; three sisters, Doris, Kay and Carol; and four brothers, Lester, Vic, Jay and Charles. Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2011 at the funeral home with her nephew, Pastor Max E. Wood officiating. Hazel will be laid to rest next to her husband, Farris Sr., at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
