Helen L. (Berggern) Hock

Helen L. Hock passed peacefully with her family around her on August 13, 2013 in Folsom, CA where she has resided for the last 20 years. She was born to parents, Gunnard "Whitey" and Lola Berggern on September 7, 1924 in Zanesville, Ohio where she lived for 69 years. She has one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Lastition, who resides in Florida. She was married to Donald L. Hock who died in 1988. She was a loving daughter, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed life and having fun. Many of you know her as Dr. Sussman's nurse where she worked for many years. She loved her work and helping people. She also loved her dogs, gardening, needlework and entertaining. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn, her daughter, Leslie Mankoski and husband Jerry, granddaughter Kimberly Saylor and husband Charlie, granddaughter Christine Keefe and husband Greg, Step-grandson Adam, Step-grandson Ryan and wife Kim, and great-grandchildren, Alese Keefe, Madison Saylor, Kaitlyn Saylor, Emily Keefe, Logan Saylor and Seth Mankoski. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 24, 2013, at noon, with calling one hour prior at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, with Rev. Ron Hock officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
